Two people were injured and rescued from the rubble of a destroyed two-storey building as a result of the night shelling of Sumy on September 8. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"Sumy: two people were injured as a result of an enemy attack," the statement said.
According to the rescuers, the attack on Sumy led to serious damage in the residential sector.
"A two-storey residential building was destroyed, more than 20 buildings and 8 vehicles were damaged, and a fire broke out over a large area. Two people were trapped under the rubble," the SES said.
Employees of the State Emergency Service successfully rescued a 70-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman from the rubble.
