At the upcoming G20 summit in India, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will come up with an initiative to strengthen international support for Ukraine. This was reported by Reuters.

In her prepared speech, which will be presented at a press conference in New Delhi, Yellen wants to emphasize the importance of continuing to provide economic assistance to Ukraine.

She will mention such measures as the International Monetary Fund's $15.5 billion loan program and the European Union's proposed €50 billion program to support Ukraine through 2027.

In connection with the need to counteract the food insecurity caused by Russia's withdrawal from the Black Sea grain deal, Yellen called for support for the G20's Global Agriculture and Food Security program and the UN's International Fund for Agricultural Development.
