Breakthrough of Russian defense does not mean final victory - Humeniuk

The breakthrough of the Ukrainian military on one of the Russian defense lines does not mean a final victory, but the soldiers are ready for further difficulties. This was stated by Natalia Humeniuk, a spokeswoman of the Southern Defense Forces, during a telethon, RBC reports.

She explained that after knocking out the Russians from certain positions, they have the opportunity to retreat and gain a foothold in other places. In this regard, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counter-battery fight is carried out in two stages: knocking out the Russians from their closest positions and striking deep into the enemy's rear to destroy their infrastructure.

Humeniuk emphasized that the completion of the first stage should not be considered a final victory, and stressed that they are ready for further difficulties in other areas of the conflict.
