Ben Wallace resigns as UK Defense Secretary (UPDATED)

Ben Wallace is resigning as the British Defense Minister, Sky News reports.


In a letter sent to the Prime Minister, Wallace expressed his appreciation for the country's armed forces and intelligence services, with which he had been working since 2016. He also noted the government's response to the events in Ukraine and thanked Rishi Sunak for investing in the army.


It is also reported that his successor as Defense Minister is to be announced today.


In addition, Wallace plans to resign from the position of deputy in the upcoming elections due to changes in the boundaries of his electoral district.


When asked about his plans for the future, he said that he would "love to go work in a bar" or consider doing something completely different.
