Russia plans to provide advanced military components to Iran in exchange for drones

British Defense Minister Ben Wallace said that Russia plans to provide Iran with advanced military components in exchange for Shahed-136 drones. This is reported by Sky News.

According to the newspaper, in his statement in the House of Commons, Ben Wallace said that Iran is one of the biggest military supporters of Russia.

According to him, Russia's intention to provide components will undermine "both the Middle East and international security."

"We have to expose this deal. I actually just did," Wallace said.

He noted that Iran provided Russia with more than 300 drones during the invasion of Ukraine. While Iran has acknowledged the delivery of the weapons, it has said they were sent before the war.

Britain, the US and the EU have imposed sanctions on Iran's military and defense equipment manufacturers for their alleged involvement in the supply of drones.

Wallace also noted that the United Kingdom will provide thousands of cold weather kits to Ukrainian soldiers and has already sent 900 generators to help the country prepare for winter.

"The UK has donated 900 generators to Ukraine and sent around 15,000 extreme cold kits to the Ukrainian armed forces, including cold clothing, heavy sleeping bags and insulated tents," he said.

Also, the British Minister of Defense noted that another 10,000 sets for cold weather will be delivered by Christmas. In the international community, about 1.23 million units of winter kit were sent to Ukraine.
