Draft law: deputies and officials can go to the front

Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Dubinsky has introduced a draft law on the mobilization of members of parliament and civil servants.

If this draft law is approved, changes will be made to the law on mobilization, and people's deputies will no longer be excluded from military service.

The author of the draft law also proposed to remove Article 29 from the law "On the Status of People's Deputy of Ukraine." This article grants people's deputies from conscription for military or alternative service, as well as from training and special meetings.

Thus, if this initiative is supported by the deputies, they could find themselves in the combat zone with weapons in their hands.
