Russia has intensified efforts to expand the production of Iranian Shahed drones at a local plant. However, according to the Institute for War Studies, the process is accompanied by delays and difficulties.
The plant in Tatarstan has so far produced only part of the components for 300 drones, about a month behind schedule. The lack of qualified specialists and workers' moral dilemmas are reportedly affecting production.
In an attempt to retain the workforce, the plant's management has been forced to use various incentives, including salary increases and even coercive measures such as the confiscation of passports.
The leaked documents also reveal a shortage of foreign components, as Russia is able to produce only 4 of the required 130 components due to US sanctions.
