A full mobilization campaign is underway in Russia, and every month about 20 thousand people are involved in these activities, said Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, during a briefing.
"Every day and every month these events continue, and about 20 thousand people are mobilized every month. Recently, Moscow Mayor Sobyanin mentioned an interesting figure - 45 thousand Moscow residents who are allegedly at the front. Before that, the figure was 35 thousand. This means that the mayor admitted that only 10,000 Moscow residents have been additionally mobilized in the past few months. In different ways, by different methods, but this campaign continues," Yusov emphasized.
According to him, in this context, it is an inevitable forced mobilization that does not affect the children of officials and oligarchs. The main object of mobilization is people who have recently received a Russian passport.
"This is an indicator of the criteria for obtaining a Russian passport, which poses a potential threat. With a high probability, the person will be captured and sent to war," the GUR representative noted.
He also noted that the only safe way for the Russian military to save their lives is to voluntarily surrender.
"Surrender is a guarantee of safety, life and dignity. It means a refusal to carry out criminal orders," Yusov said.
