Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has emphasized that Ukraine will not sacrifice its territories to join NATO. He expressed this opinion during an interview in the "Breakfast with 1+1" program.
According to his statements, the talks about a possible exchange of territories in exchange for membership in the Alliance, which were led by the head of the NATO Secretary General's staff, do not correspond to the position of Stoltenberg himself.
"The President has repeatedly spoken with Secretary General Stoltenberg, I maintain a very close relationship with him, and I assure you that the position of the Secretary General is absolutely clear and exactly the same as Ukraine's - there can be no trade in Ukrainian territories," the minister said.
Kuleba also emphasized that the Ukrainian administration is actively working to accelerate the process of Ukraine's approach to NATO membership, and the issue of territory exchange is not part of the discussion.
