Another thousand soldiers are returning from training in Great Britain

A thousand Ukrainian marines will soon return home after an "intense" training conducted by elite British marines and commandos. They have been learning amphibious assault techniques using inflatable boats for coastal operations and are preparing to go to the front line, Sky News reports.

In general, more than twenty thousand Ukrainian servicemen have received training from the UK since the beginning of 2022.

The Marines conducted amphibious assault training both during the day and at night. They have mastered new-generation light anti-tank weapons (ATGMs) and Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, and are also able to use mortars and drones for reconnaissance and obstacle removal, including the Dragon's Teeth anti-vehicle fortifications.

Despite the fact that some Ukrainian training participants have already had previous experience in the armed forces or on the front line, many of them are civilian volunteers with no military training.

One of the newly trained Ukrainian marines shared: "The Royal Marines course was much more intense than I expected. Throughout the training, our British instructors were there to show us how to move and how to work in small groups. This will make a big difference when we return home to Ukraine."
