Poland is strengthening security: 10 thousand soldiers on the border with Belarus

According to Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, Poland plans to deploy a total of 10,000 troops on the border with Belarus. Of this number, 6,000 will be a reserve that is constantly improving its skills, Rzeczpospolita reports.

Blaszczak noted that in the next two years, the country intends to have the most powerful land army in Europe. He emphasized the importance of investing in the Polish Army rather than in foreign troops.

Earlier, the Border Service of Poland asked the Ministry of Defense to increase the number of troops on the border with Belarus by a thousand due to incidents involving airspace violations by Belarusian helicopters and conducting exercises in Belarus. The Ministry of Defense decided to send two thousand soldiers to the border.

It is worth noting that earlier Warsaw announced the possible closure of the border with Belarus together with Lithuania if Minsk continues to provoke.
