Poland is ready for protective measures against the security threat from the mercenaries of the Wagner group in Belarus

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Pawlo Jablonski, told CNN in an interview that Poland is considering various steps to protect its territory and citizens in connection with the presence of Wagner group mercenaries in Belarus.

Yablonsky emphasized that the threat from Belarus is very real, as the "Wagnerians" tried to infiltrate Polish territory. At the same time, closing the border is an extreme measure that Poland wants to avoid. After all, in the case of attacks on Poland and attempts to destabilize the situation in the country, the complete closure of the border may be the only way out.

Poland is already deploying additional military forces near the Belarusian border to bolster defenses. However, the exact number of troops deployed in the region is not specified.

Aware of the threat posed by the mercenaries of the Wagner group, Poland is actively responding and making efforts to ensure the security of its borders and population.
