Turning off the lights in Kyiv

It should be noted that hourly blackouts were implemented in Ukraine after massive missile and drone attacks on Russians in the fall and winter of 2022. Then the attacks of the Russians caused damage to a large number of energy facilities in Ukraine. However, at the end of the winter of 2023, the blackout was canceled in most of Ukraine.

We would like to remind you that on June 21, an emergency situation arose on the networks of NEC "Ukrenergo". Emergency power outages occurred in a number of districts of the capital and the region. However, experts quickly restored power to consumers. The main reason for the outages was damage to the networks due to the attacks of the invaders.

On June 25, local power outages occurred again in Kyiv. However, they were related to planned works.

In addition, Ukrenergo stated that providing residents with light in summer and autumn will be a challenge for the state.
