The number of victims in the Solomyansk district as a result of fragments of a downed rocket hitting a 24-story building has increased to 9, search and rescue operations are ongoing - there may be people under the rubble, Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klychko said.
"There may be people under the rubble on the damaged floors of the building on Solomyanka. Rescuers are continuing the search and rescue operation. So far, three people have died. Two victims were hospitalized. 9 people received medical help on the spot," he wrote on the Telegram channel on Saturday.
As Klitschko reported, all residents of the building hit by fragments of a Russian rocket were evacuated.
"There are many damaged cars in the yard. The perimeter of the yard is closed. All services are working on the spot," the mayor concluded.
