The Post of Moldova (Poșta Moldovei), the country's national postal operator, has announced that it has decided to temporarily stop sending parcels and letters to Russia.
A message about this appeared on May 19 on the company's Facebook page.
"The Post of Moldova informs you that from May 19, 2023, it will temporarily stop receiving all mail (EMS, written correspondence, parcels) to the Russian Federation due to the impossibility of sending mail in this direction," the message reads.
The operator noted that he is "making every effort" to "find a solution as soon as possible to resume the process of receiving and sending postal items to the Russian Federation."
It will be recalled that the day before, the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, said that the country wants to join the EU as soon as possible, as this will help it protect itself from the Russian threat.
