On Tuesday, April 4, Ukraine decided to forcibly evacuate children from 21 settlements in the Donetsk region, where the security situation remains critical.
This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
"Today, under the chairmanship of Vice-Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, a meeting of the Coordination Staff was held on the issues of mandatory evacuation of the population under martial law," the message reads.
It is noted that the members of the Joint Staff unanimously supported the decision of the Donetsk Regional Government to announce the mandatory evacuation of 126 children from 21 settlements. There are 5 "White Angels" police evacuation crews working in the region. They ensure the safe removal of children in armored vehicles.
"Evacuated children accompanied by one of their parents or a legal representative will be provided with free shelter, social guarantees, humanitarian aid and psychological support," the Ministry of Reintegration explained.
