Forced evacuation of children announced in Donetsk and Kherson regions

Forced evacuation of children has been announced in Donetsk and Kherson regions due to the threat of shelling and Russian invasion. This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration and the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.


On Monday, October 23, at a meeting of the Coordination Staff on Mandatory Evacuation, it was announced that approximately 250 children would be evacuated from Donetsk region. It will be carried out from 8 settlements in Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts, where the security situation remains critical.


After the evacuation, the children, accompanied by one of their parents or a legal guardian, will be taken to a humanitarian hub before the cold weather starts. There they will have a rest, receive help and support, and then they will go to Zhytomyr region. There they will be provided with shelter, social benefits, humanitarian aid and psychological support free of charge.


In Kherson region, the following settlements will be subject to mandatory evacuation: Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Mylove, Novokaira, Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka, Osokorivka, Beryslav, Zmiivka, Novoberislav, Tyahynka, Burgunka, Lvove, Mykolaivka, Odradokamyanka, Olgivka, Krasny Mayak, Vesele, Kozatske, Antonivka, Komyshany, Sadove, Priozerne.
