The Ukrainian military firmly holds Bakhmut and inflicts numerous losses on the Russians. It is thanks to the defense in the east that our defenders can undergo training and prepare for a further counteroffensive.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty on the air of the telethon.
He emphasized that a defense operation is currently taking place in the Bakhmut area. Yes, our military is holding back the enemy with great efforts, inflicting colossal losses on him. According to him, this is a harbinger of future actions that the entire Ukrainian society expects.
"They exhaust, bleed the enemy, knock out his strength, breaking his moral and psychological state. While ours are holding a defensive operation, their comrades in Ukraine and abroad are studying the latest techniques, the latest combat tactics," the spokesman said.
Cherevaty noted that the foundation is being prepared in the Bakhmut direction and in the east in general, so that our brigades, when they are ready, can confidently "come out against the defeated enemy and throw him out of our country much faster."
It will be recalled that President Volodymyr Zelenskyі held a meeting of the Stavka, at which a decision was made on the further detention and protection of Bakhmut. The USA supports Zelenskyi's decision regarding Bakhmut.
