The Polish Ministry of Defense believes that Russia is bogged down in Ukraine like in Chechnya or Afghanistan. And this war may continue for months.
This was emphasized by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak in an interview with LA RAZÓN.
In particular, the Polish minister called the issue of the terms of the end of the war difficult, but still gave his assessment.
"This is a difficult question... Starting from the scale of forces and funds and from the way the hostilities are currently being conducted in Ukraine, I am afraid that it is not about weeks, but about months. Russia is bogged down in Ukraine - as it was before in Chechnya and Afghanistan .And at the same time withdrawing from the war now would mean admitting the Kremlin's mistake and the need to face the consequences of this barbaric attack," Blaschak believes.
The head of the Polish Ministry of Defense emphasized that military aid to Ukraine and economic pressure on the Russian Federation are the most effective forms of countering the occupiers.
"We should not feel tired or relieved of our support for Ukraine, this nation is also fighting for our freedom, freedom and values of Europe," Blaszczak added.
It will be recalled that recently the chief adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Viktor Nazarov, expressed the opinion that Russia's war against Ukraine could last at least one more year.
British Defense Minister Ben Wallace expressed a similar opinion. According to him, the war between Russia and Ukraine will continue for at least another year, because Putin has crossed the line and is not going to stop.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov stated that this year could be a successful one for Ukraine and that Ukrainians would be able to rejoice in good news in the middle or second half of 2023.
