In Lviv, the world-famous Swiss artist Gerry Hofstetter illuminated the buildings of the City Hall, the railway station, the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and the Lviv National Opera on the anniversary of the full-scale war.

As part of the art tour of the cities of Ukraine "Commemoration. Light for Hope", the world-famous artist uses light to "paint" buildings and monuments in symbolic patterns in the colors of the national flag.
The solidarity action is timed to the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
"During the art tour on famous buildings, everyone will be able to see art projections dedicated to the anniversary of the full-scale war in Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian symbols of indomitability," the message reads.
As reported by the Lviv City Council, the art tour will last from February 22 to 27 and will cover several cities of Ukraine. The tour will start from Lviv. The author will produce 15-minute projections using an electric generator. The tour route and locations are not disclosed for security reasons. The buildings were chosen in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy together with local self-government.

Among the works of the artist is the illumination of the Matterhorn mountain in Switzerland. It was an action of solidarity with the world during the 2020 quarantine due to COVID-19. Gerry also created the largest piece of art in the world. On February 22, 2022, the Chinese Year of the Tiger, he designed a 5.3 km long tiger on the north face of the Eiger in Switzerland.
