As a result of new damage to Ukraine's energy system, a power deficit in Kyiv in the amount of 30% of consumption arose.
"In order to prevent a complete blackout of the capital and central regions of Ukraine, NEC Ukrenergo is introducing unprecedented emergency restrictions," DTEK Kyiv Electric Network and DTEK Kyiv Regional ES reported on Friday evening.
In this regard, the schedules of emergency shutdowns made the day before are not relevant.
"Unfortunately, tougher and longer outages will be applied in the coming days. The company is working on the preparation of new, more convenient schedules that take into account the current state of the power system. They will be made public at the beginning of next week," the reports emphasize.
"DTEK's power engineers, together with Ukrenergo specialists, other emergency services and state authorities, are doing everything possible to stabilize the situation as soon as possible," DTEK summarized.
