The missile attack of the Russian Armed Forces on the energy facilities of the main networks of the western regions of Ukraine resulted in damage comparable to or even greater than that caused by Russian missiles and kamikaze drones on October 10-12, reports NEC "Ukrenergo".
The company said that repair crews will begin repairing the damage after the State Emergency Service workers eliminate the effects of rocket hits and fires that broke out as a result of the flights. First of all, such works will begin in the regions that have lost power.
In connection with the repeated missile attack, "Ukrenergo" is forced to expand the map of fan outages in order to reduce the load on the power system, which has increased several times due to damage to individual objects, and to avoid new accidents. In particular, stabilization power outages have been announced in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Kirovohrad regions.
Energy experts ask Ukrainians to carefully consume electricity throughout the day and especially during the peak hours of consumption - from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., not to use energy-consuming electrical appliances, turn off unnecessary lighting, and move laundry to night time. All this allows employees of energy companies to stabilize the situation faster and complete restoration work faster.
