Ukraine received another tranche of macro-financial assistance of 2 billion euros from the EU.

This was announced by the head of the government, Denys Shmyhal, in his Telegram channel.

"Today, our state received another tranche from the European Union aimed at supporting Ukraine's economic stability. The additional financial resource will help cover urgent budget expenses, particularly in the social and humanitarian spheres," Shmyhal noted.

These funds are the first part of the 5 billion euro package.

In total, this year, Ukraine received 4.2 billion euros of macro-financial assistance from the EU, which significantly helped to strengthen the economic front of the state and withstand the fight against the aggressor, Shmyhal added.

He thanked the European partners. "We continue to work on new financial programs for next year," Shmyhal summarized.

On October 7, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced that the EU will allocate another 2 billion euros of macrofinance to Ukraine "in the coming days."

On September 20, the European Union adopted the final decision on the quick allocation of 5 billion euros of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine for support in wartime conditions.
