The European Commission plans to allocate 2.5 billion euros of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine by the end of November. Another 500 million euros will be allocated in December. This is stated in the statement of the Vice President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis.
According to the statement, since the beginning of the war, Europe has mobilized 19.7 billion euros to support Ukraine, most of which comes in the form of macro-financial assistance.
"We have already allocated 4.2 billion euros. By the end of the month, we are going to allocate another 2.5 billion euros," Dombrovskis wrote.
According to him, another 620 million euros were allocated in the form of grants to support the budget of Ukraine.
In addition, the EU countries provided military aid in the amount of 3.1 billion euros as part of the European Peace Fund and a military aid mission in support of Ukraine with a budget of 100 million euros for expenses aimed at training 15 thousand soldiers as a first step.
"All this support is complemented by the unprecedented solidarity of EU member states with people fleeing the war in Ukraine, of whom more than 4 million have received temporary protection in the EU," Dombrovskis added.
