The readiness of engineering systems, networks and equipment of the housing and communal economy for the heating season is about 97%, said the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Chernyshov.

 "Today, the level of preparation of all engineering systems, networks, equipment of housing and communal services is approximately 97% on average in the country," Chernyshov said at a briefing on preparation for the heating season on Monday.

 The minister noted that by the next meeting of the specialized staff, on October 6, readiness for the heating season will be almost 100%.

 Also, according to him, Ukraine is already approaching the indicator of accumulation in Ukrainian storages of approximately 14.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and today there are already about 14 billion cubic meters in storages.

 In addition, the minister spoke about the government's plans to accumulate 2.5 million tons of coal, of which almost 2 million are already in the warehouses of enterprises and other coal storage facilities.

 Chernyshov also said that as a result of military operations, more than 350 boiler houses were damaged, but at the moment, work on their restoration continues.

 "Anti-crisis response plans have been developed for each region, some have already been worked out, where such events have already occurred, for example, Kharkiv region. The regions are ready for such challenges," the minister said.
