This year's heating season in Ukraine will end at the end of March due to above-zero temperatures. This was stated by Oleksiy Chernyshov, head of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
"Usually, the heating season ends on April 15, but this year, given the above-zero temperature, it will end in late March," he said.
According to him, Ukraine has calmly survived the winter.
"We have learned the lessons of 2022, when we suffered massive attacks from Russia in the autumn, and we have prepared. Our power system is very reliable. But this does not mean that the Russians did not try to attack our infrastructure every day," Chernyshov added.
The standard end date for the heating season in Ukraine is April 15. However, the decision to stop supplying heat to houses is made by local authorities depending on the average air temperature of 8 degrees for three days, taking into account the forecast.
