As a result of the invasion, the Russian military injured at least 716 children in Ukraine, killed 362. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office in Telegram.

 

 "As of the morning of August 19, 2022, more than 1,078 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 362 children died and more than 716 were injured of varying degrees of severity," the message reads.

 

 As noted, these numbers are not final, because work is ongoing to determine the injured and dead in the places of active hostilities, as well as in temporarily captured and liberated territories.

 

 Children were most affected in the Donetsk region - 376, Kharkiv - 202, Kyiv - 116, Chernihiv - 68, Luhansk - 61, Mykolaiv - 60, Kherson - 55, Zaporizhzhya - 40.

 

 On August 17, a 13-year-old boy was killed when an enemy projectile hit a residential building in Kharkiv, and two more children, aged 12 and 13, were injured.
