Lithuania calls on the European Union to follow the example of Estonia and ban Russians with Schengen visas. This is reported by BNS. 

The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry says it appreciates the neighbor's decision, but stresses that restrictions work more effectively if they are applied at the EU level.

At the same time, Vilnius notes that after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, it supported the sanctions. Lithuania also imposed similar restrictions on Russians as Estonia and Latvia.

Note that Estonia was the first European country that banned entry to Russians with Schengen visas. In addition, to restrict entry for Russian citizens with tourist visas want to Latvia. The Czech Republic also supports this initiative. The country is going to raise this issue for discussion in the European Council.
