Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, is ready to go to the next presidential election provided that the current head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not run in it.

Arestovych said this in an interview with Dmitry Gordon.

"My rating is the rating of the president now. I do not separate myself from the president. And I never let down the people I work with. I may have different opinions, but I never take it out... Because I don't wash my dirty linen in public," he said.

The adviser of the OPU head calls the talks about the president's ambitions during the war and martial law incorrect. At the same time, he confirms that he has them.

"If he (Zelenskyy - ed.) goes for a second term - I certainly will not cut him off, in any case, it is technically impossible," Arestovich added, confirming that otherwise he himself will go to the polls.

According to him, he wants the presidency in order to help people and "do something good."

"As this opportunity I want to use. Not as an attempt to monetize the rating, which is situationally formed. In some ways situational, and in some ways legitimate. Just as an opportunity to do a lot for the country and for the people," he summarized.

Earlier, Bankova street said that the war with Russia will end under the presidency of Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
