To the applause of the Verkhovna Rada, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausseda presented his Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelensky the highest award of the Republic of Lithuania - the Order of Vitovt the Great.

The President of Lithuania said that this award belongs to Zelensky and the entire Ukrainian people.
Note that the highest state award of the Republic of Lithuania is the Order of Vitovt the Great with a gold chain. It can be awarded to Lithuanian or foreign heads of state, as well as citizens for special services to the Lithuanian state.
Let's remind, earlier the President of Ukraine was awarded the Winston Churchill Award for leadership of the International Winston Churchill Society.
In addition, the Ukrainian people were awarded the award of Dutch Independence. On behalf of Ukrainians it was received by the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Netherlands Maksym Kononenko.
