The European Union continues discussions on the seventh package of sanctions, but it will soon be approved.
Radio Liberty correspondent Rickard Jozwiak wrote this on Twitter, writes European Pravda.
"EU ambassadors will discuss the new package of sanctions against Russia tomorrow, but it is expected to get the green light," the post said.
Earlier it was reported that Poland in the discussion regarding the next EU sanctions against Russia is in favor of extending them to Russian gas and the rest of the oil.
Recall, July 15, the European Commission approved a joint proposal for a seventh package of sanctions against Russia, the new restrictions include a partial ban on the import of Russian gold and greater control of exports of dual use and advanced technologies.
The European Union plans to add First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Andrei Belousov, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and two Russian actors to the sanctions list.
The EU has already adopted six packages of sanctions against Russia because it deliberately violated international law when it began its invasion of Ukraine.
