Monastyrsky: Rocket attacks on the center of Vinnytsya are the enemy's criminal response to the work of the AFU in eastern Ukraine

Ukrainian Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky calls the missile strikes on the center of Vinnitsa a criminal response of the enemy to the successful work of the Ukrainian military in eastern Ukraine.

"The enemy deliberately strikes civilian objects ... I think this is one of the responses to the actions of our Armed Forces, defense forces in the east of the country," the minister said Thursday at a briefing in Vinnytsya.

According to the minister, this conclusion can be drawn after the enemy strikes on the shopping center in Kremenchug, on residential areas in Chasovoy Yar and on the center of Vinnytsya, where there were many people during the day.

"They are committing war crimes in order to intimidate," the head of the Interior Ministry added.

Asked whether this was a planned attack on civilians or an enemy mistake in coordinates, Monastyrsky said: "Strikes are carried out against objects that do not pose any military danger ... Besides, the very type of weapon Kalibr refers to a fairly high-precision weapon and selects a certain target. Today they are civilians, civilian cars."
