The Lithuanian government has approved an aid package of 10 million euros to help Ukraine carry out urgent reconstruction work.
This was reported by Euractiv.
The aid is intended to help speed Ukraine's recovery, as many Ukrainians are eager to return to their country and others have already done so.
"This government aid is funds for critical infrastructure, basic needs and basic services. Ukrainians will win because the truth and determination to protect and build are on their side, and they outweigh the destruction and brutality of the aggressor," said Prime Minister Ingrida Schmonite.
She stressed that by helping Ukraine, Lithuania aims to hasten the country's victory and reconstruction as much as possible.
The government's aid will be transferred to the National Bank of Ukraine.
We shall remind you that the Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicle previously purchased by the Lithuanian people has arrived in Ukraine.
It should be noted that in May Lithuania announced a fundraising campaign to buy the drone for Ukraine. The Lithuanians raised 5m euros in 3.5 days.
Turkey then decided to give Ukraine the combat drone for free.
