The Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnek said in a program on Polish Radio that 200 thousand more children from Ukraine may come to Polish schools next school year.
"We accepted 200 thousand (Ukrainian children - ed.), including 160 in schools and 40 in kindergartens. According to our estimates, another 200 thousand may join from September 1. This will all be seen in the next few weeks. The system is elastic, coordinated with the authorities, with the self-government, with the departments of education, with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration. We are ready to accept Ukrainian children.
Head of the Ministry of Education also added that distance or hybrid education in the coming school year is not planned yet, because there are no signals from the Ministry of Health or sanitary services about it.
As a reminder, Poland is ready to further facilitate the education of forced evacuated citizens of Ukraine. In addition, the country has the proper conditions for the National Multidisciplinary Test.
