The European Commission has not yet formed a final opinion on granting Ukraine candidate status in the European Union.

This was stated by European Commission spokesman Eric Mamer, reports Rai News.

"The European Commission's opinion on Ukraine's EU candidacy has not yet been finalized. Yesterday there was only a discussion meeting between commission members, and the opinion will be given at the panel meeting to be held on Friday," he said.

As a reminder, earlier, the Politico newspaper, citing several officials, said that the European Commission would recommend granting Ukraine official candidate country status to the EU.
