Ukraine's application for European Union membership will be considered already at the next EU summit in June, the conclusions of the European Council meeting say.
"The European Council takes into account the preparation of the European Commission's conclusions on Ukraine's application for EU membership, as well as the Republic of Moldova and Georgia, and will return to this issue at its June meeting," the summit conclusions said.
It is also indicated that the European Union and its member states will intensify their efforts to reach out to third countries to support Ukraine in all these aspects, counter the false Russian narrative and manipulation of information, and prevent sanctions evasion and circumvention.
On May 9, Ukraine completed and submitted to the European Commission the final part of the questionnaire regarding EU membership. A positive decision is expected in June.
