The president of Ukraine said that Russia bypassed most international sanctions due to the lack of a unified global position against its invasion of Ukraine. This was reported by SkyNews.

Volodymyr Zelensky argues that some countries that imposed sanctions against Russia simultaneously helped Moscow bypass most of them.

"So unfortunately, we don't see sanctions putting a lot of pressure on Russia," Zelensky said in a video message to Stanford University students.

The Ukrainian leader called on world leaders to impose sanctions against Moscow, saying it was "the right weapon against Russia."

His speech was part of a special video address to students at Stanford University in California.
