EU ambassadors approved a new package of sanctions against Russia

European Union ambassadors have approved a new package of sanctions against Russia. This was stated by Radio Liberty correspondent Rikard Jozwiak.

"EU ambassadors have just given the green light to the 13th package of EU sanctions. It should be published just before February 24," he said.

According to Reuters sources in the EU, the new package covers about 200 legal entities and individuals, but does not contain new sectoral measures.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen welcomed the ambassadors' agreement on the 13th package of sanctions against Russia.

"We must continue to weaken Putin's military machine. With a total of 2,000 lists, we continue to put strong pressure on the Kremlin. We also continue to reduce Russia's access to drones," she wrote in X.
