Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 2,435 civilians have been killed. This was reported by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
"From 4:00 a.m. on February 24, 2022, when the armed attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine began, until midnight (local time) on April 21, 2022, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (UN OHCHR) has recorded 5381 civilian casualties: 2435 dead and 2946 wounded," the report says.
According to the UN, the dead include: 746 men, 469 women, 48 girls and 66 boys, as well as 70 children and 1,036 adults whose gender is not yet known.
Injured: 345 men, 274 women, 62 girls, 67 boys, 157 children and 2,041 adults, whose sex is also not known.
As noted, most people were killed by wide-area explosive weapons - heavy artillery, multiple rocket launchers, rockets and air strikes.
