Occupiers collect personal data of southerners to falsify referendum - Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the occupiers are collecting personal data from residents of southern regions of Ukraine in order to falsify the so-called "referendum" and called on southerners to be careful about the information they can provide to the invaders.

"I urge the residents of the southern regions of Ukraine, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia regions to be very careful about what information you give to the invaders if they ask you to fill out some questionnaires, leave your passport data somewhere. Know that it is not to help you. It's to rewrite the people who live in a certain territory, as they say. And it's not to give you some kind of humanitarian aid there. It's to actually rig a so-called 'referendum' on your land," Zelensky said in a video message on Friday night.

The head of state stressed that Russia's attempt to triple the so-called "referendum" in the Kherson region will only end in a new sanctions strike against Russia.

"I want to say at once: no "KhNRs" will not pass. If someone wants another annexation, it can only lead to new powerful sanctions against Russia. You will leave your country as poor as Russia has never been since the civil war after 1917," the president said.
