On April 15, Russian occupants raised their flags in occupied Skadovsk, Kherson region. In connection with this, the local executive committee did not go to work.

This was reported on Facebook by the mayor of the city Alexander Yakovlev.

"This morning in Skadovsk the occupants removed the flags of Ukraine from the building of the city council and from the flagpole in the city center. Attached their tricolors. By doing so, they say that from now on they are fully responsible for everything that happens in the city and the community," he said.

According to him, the Skadovsky city council will not cooperate with the occupants, so today no employee of the executive committee will work in the building under the Russian flag.

"Regardless of external circumstances and tenure, our service to Ukraine, our hometown and our community continues. Whatever flags the invaders hang on buildings and squares, they can never replace the colors of our yellow fields and blue skies. These colors are in the heart of every Ukrainian," Yakovlev added.

It was previously reported that the mayor of Skadovsk was forced to leave the city due to constant threats.
