In an interview, the head of the Kherson RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that he believes the Russian army may resume its offensive to gain a foothold on the right bank of the Dnipro River. 

“I believe that they will not succeed in a large-scale invasion, as it was. Because we have a natural barrier - the river. I doubt they will be able to cross it. But there is such a possibility,” he said.

Prokudin said that Russians have recently started shelling Kherson region more actively. In particular, the number of attacks has increased by 4 times.

“Over the past 10 days, the enemy has fired about 700 shells a day on average. In January and February it was 150. The Russians continue to attack with cannon, rocket artillery, tanks, and aircraft,” said the head of the RMA.

In addition, the Russians cause the most damage with drones. Prokudin said that UAVs “hit civilian objects, vehicles with humanitarian aid and even funeral vehicles.”

“Since the beginning of the year, more than 600 cases of dropping explosives have already been recorded in the region, 300 hits by FPVs,” he said.
