British intelligence predicts an increase in Russian aviation activity in the south and east

Russian operations remain concentrated in the east and south, where Russian aircraft activity is expected to increase.

This is according to a British Ministry of Defense review on Saturday morning.

The department notes that Russia continues to strike Ukrainian civilians, such as those killed in yesterday's missile attack on a train station in Kramatorsk.

Russian operations remain focused on Donbas, Mariupol and Nikolaev, and cruise missile launches into Ukraine continue with the support of Russian naval forces.

Russian aviation activity in southern and eastern Ukraine is expected to increase in support of this activity.

At the same time, Russian ambitions to create a land corridor between Crimea and Donbas continue to encounter resistance from Ukraine.

The day before, British military intelligence stated that Russian forces, fully withdrawn from the north of Ukraine, would need at least a week before they would be redeployed to fight elsewhere.
