The situation in Kyiv and the Kyiv region is stable, but the threat of enemy missile strikes remains. This was reported by Brigadier General, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces Command of the AFU Alexander Gruzevich during a briefing.
"Today the situation in Kyiv and the Kyiv region is stable. The only thing that remains is the threat of enemy missile strikes. Yes, there are fewer of them, but such a threat still exists. That is why we must not neglect when an air-raid alert is declared. We have to follow the corresponding rules," Gruzevitch said.
In addition, he reported that for two days in Kyiv, joint actions caught 16 DRG.
"We think it's quiet - but the enemy is here. Leaving our area, he left sabotage groups, yesterday we conducted a sweep of one area, caught one group. A handful of sensors - by which missiles are guided. So it is not necessary to ignore the safety rules," Gruzevych said.
He said we have to be careful because there happen to be Ukrainians recruited in these groups.
"Yes, most of them are from Donetsk and Luhansk regions, but they are still Ukrainians. When and how they are recruited is up to other structures. But, unfortunately, in the war with Russia, our ethnic Ukrainians are acting on the side of the enemy," said Gruzevich.
As a reminder, Kyiv mayor Vitaliy Klitschko urged people not to return to the capital for the time being, because there is still a probable threat of shelling of the city by occupants.
