Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is sure that people who make decisions in Russia think they can get away with it.
"People who make decisions in Russia hope they can get away with it. Sanctions? They think they can get away with it. The embargo on Russian oil? They see it doesn't go beyond words. Nothing but talk about it. And concern. The tribunal? They know that it takes years to bring the specific perpetrators to justice," he said in a video address to the Danish parliament on Tuesday. So the Ukrainian president answered the question "why the world can't stop the flow of Russian war crimes."
"That is why we appeal to you and the entire democratic community of the world. The sanctions must be strengthened, we must impose an embargo on Russian oil, we must close ports to Russian ships," Zelensky said.
