The Office of the President of Ukraine reacted to a statement made by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who had earlier spoken against the persecution of Russian citizens abroad. Mykhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the OP, wrote on Twitter that such a suggestion was wrong.
"Chancellor Scholz, seeking to justify his indecisiveness, proposes to separate ordinary Russians and Putin as the author of the war. This could be a false trend in Europe. Because officially 71% of Russians categorically support the war against Ukraine and the mass murder of our citizens," Podolyak noted.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stood up for Russian citizens who are allegedly being poisoned abroad. He expressed dissatisfaction with the alleged harassment of Russians abroad.
Chancellor @OlafScholz trying to justify his indecisiveness offers to divide ordinary Russians & Putin (as the author of the war). In Europe, this may become a false trend. Because officially 71% of Russians support the war & mass killings of Ukrainians. Keep this in mind.
