Denisova: Kherson Region is on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova reported in her Telegram that Kherson region is on the brink of a humanitarian disaster.

Due to the temporary occupation, people in the region's settlements, especially small ones, critically lack medicines and sometimes even food. It is impossible to deliver any goods from other regions of Ukraine due to the aggressive actions and shelling of the fascist occupants.

Problems with electricity, gas and water supply are reported.

"Russian militants are shelling the peaceful population who come out to protest rallies. Such treatment of civilians by Russian troops is a gross violation of the norms of the Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War. I call on the international community to take all measures to stop the military aggression of the Russian Federation and the arbitrariness of the militants of the aggressor country on the territory of Ukraine," the message reads.
