UN Court: Russia must immediately suspend military action in Ukraine

The International Court of Justice in The Hague ruled that Russia must stop the war against Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this.

"Ukraine has won a complete victory in the case against Russia in the International Court of Justice of the UN. The court ordered Russia to immediately stop its invasion of Ukraine. The order is binding on Russia under international law. Ignoring the ruling will lead Russia into even greater isolation," Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

According to the court ruling, Russia must cease "military operations" that began on the territory of Ukraine on February 24 and ensure that any regular or irregular units sent or supported by Russia, as well as other organizations and individuals that are under Russian control, do not take any steps to continue military actions (these decisions were supported by 13 people, two were opposed).

The court also unanimously urged both sides to refrain from actions that might aggravate or continue the dispute and complicate the court's consideration.
