A large-scale survey conducted simultaneously in four EU states, including three "Euroskeptic" states, showed a historically high support for Ukraine's membership in the EU by the citizens of these states.

As "European Pravda" notes, this is evidenced by the data of the survey conducted in Germany, France, Italy and Poland.

In all the states without exception there is a stable advantage of public opinion in favor of Ukraine's accession to the EU.

The lowest level of support is in France, but there it is high - 62% of citizens support accession, 38% are against it. In Germany, support for accession is significantly higher, 69% said they were in favor of Ukraine's membership in the EU. In Italy, which has an image of a pro-Russian state, the number of supporters of accession is even greater - 71% (accordingly opponents - 29%).

At the expense of an even higher level of support in Eastern Europe (in Poland - 91%), researchers believe that pan-European support is at about 71%.

In addition, 68% of Europeans are inclined to greater EU integration in the field of security, with the creation of a so-called "European army" after the beginning of the Russian aggression. In the "Western three" the support of a joint army is the lowest in Italy (59%), in Germany and France it is 66-68%.

As reported, Germany and France were among the few skeptics who opposed the accelerated granting of official candidate status to Ukraine at the EU summit in Versailles. They appealed to the fact that it allegedly has no support in their society. European Truth has already explained that mass demonstrations in support of our membership can change this opinion and explained how ordinary Ukrainians can influence this.

The research was conducted jointly by the French Jean Jaurès Foundation (an authoritative organization close to the Socialist Party) and the Ukrainian Yalta European Strategy (YES). From March 3 to 7, their sociological companies polled more than 4,000 people on representative samples representing the population of Germany, France, Italy and Poland over the age of 18.

The data were also interpolated to present the expected pan-European position, given that these 4 states are the spokespersons of the EU regions and taking into account the distribution of the population in these regions.
