French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz again called Kremlin head Vladimir Putin. The conversation concerns the war in Ukraine, which was unleashed by the Russian Federation.
This was reported by the French channel BFM TV.
As noted by the TV channel, this trilateral conversation takes place after Macron expressed his "pessimism" about the war in Ukraine.
In particular, according to the channel, during a telephone conversation on Sunday, Putin told Macron that he plans to achieve his goals "either through negotiations or through war."
To recall, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba previously said that dialogue with Putin was the only way to end the war.
At the same time, the Kremlin did not rule out direct negotiations between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine.
In addition, Turkey said that such negotiations could take place in the near future.
